Sometimes Feelings Seem Very Real 2009

We take our feelings very seriously. They seem very ‘real’ but then can change or disappear within hours.
Not about being ‘beheld’ or being recognized these are ‘inside-out’ portraits, feeling busts.
…….. cracking apart, a head full of wasps, hair tingling fear, a desperate wish for transformation.

The Inuit believe that hair, fur and feather can ‘hear’ what is happening.
I once met someone who told me that the hairs on the back of his neck could sense danger behind him.
Here in Ireland there is a long tradition of inserting coins into trees and rocks at holy wells and mythological sites.. Whether placed in faith, hope or desperation such offerings seem from time to time to work their spell, wishes  ‘materialize’ and healing takes  place.
